Oregon Statewide Scholarship Program

The Betty Gray Early Childhood Development Endowment Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation can help YOU!

The Oregon Statewide Scholarship Program supports the continued growth of quality child care in the state of Oregon. The Scholarship Program provides financial support for training and education for providers working in family child care, center child care, Head Start, and before/after school programs through the Betty Gray Early Childhood Development Endowment Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation.


If you:

  • Work directly with children in a Child Care Division (CCD) licensed child care facility or a child care center legally exempt from licensing. CCD licensed child care includes Registered Family Child Care Homes, Certified Family Child Care Homes, and Certified Child Care Centers
    AND
  • Have an Oregon Registry Step

Scholarship awards may help pay your costs for:

Conferences held in Oregon and sponsored by any of the following professional organizations:

  • Oregon Association of Child Care Directors (OACCD)
  • Oregon Association for the Education of Young Children (OAEYC)
  • Oregon After School for Kids - NAA Affiliate (Oregon ASK-NAA)
  • Oregon Division for Early Childhood (Oregon DEC)
  • Provider Resource Organization (PRO)

Oregon Registry Trainer Program approved Set Two or Set Three training offered by the above organizations, an Oregon community college, or child care resource and referral program

Oregon Community College tuition for courses in the field of childhood care and education not to exceed 4 credits per term

Oregon Community College GED Coursework or Test Fees to meet CDA or college entrance requirements

Oregon Community College Transcription fees for a CDA or Oregon Registry Step 7 for community college credit

CDA Credential application fees, renewal fees, and up to $125 for observation fees

Oregon Registry Credential application fees and up to $75 for observation fees

Foreign Degree Translation and Evaluation fees for degrees in the field

Facility Accreditation awards (including ACSI, COA, NAEYC, and NAFCC) may be available using separate request materials available online or by contacting our office.
