Oregon Statewide Scholarship Program Returns!

Great News! Thanks to the generosity of the John & Betty Gray Early Childhood Initiative of the Oregon Community Foundation, new scholarship funds are now available. We so appreciate your patience during the past few months and are happy to once again provide scholarship assistance to support you in your professional development goals. We are currently accepting new applications and requests for funding.

As part of our efforts to secure additional funding, OCCD staff members have been working very closely with the Oregon Community Foundation and our state partners in the review and assessment of the scholarship program. As a result of our collaboration the following changes were agreed upon and will be implemented for the remainder of this fiscal year (until June 30, 2008).

PROGRAM CHANGES:

For Conference Fees of approved professional organizations

Only the Member, Early Registration fee will be covered
Requests must be received by OCCD 10 business days prior to conference date

For Community College Coursework

Only one college credit class in the field of childhood care and education per term
Proof of registration is required prior to award of scholarship support

For Community Based Training

Only Oregon Registry Trainer Program Approved Set Two and Set Three training offered through child care resource and referral programs and/or co-sponsored by approved professional organizations will be accepted.

New Scholarship Application packet available

If you have already been approved to participate in the 2007-08 scholarship program you do not need to complete a new application for the remainder of the fiscal year. Only Voucher Request/Reimbursement form and required documentation is needed.
