Community Trainers

Oregon Registry Community Trainers develop and offer their own independent introductory level training sessions. They use the Set One standards in the Core Body of Knowledge to select their core knowledge categories and develop their objectives. Community trainers may also offer standardized training sessions if they are approved for the individual training curricula and have participated in the training of trainers for those specific standardized training sessions.

Community Trainers may be independent contractors, or they may be affiliated with non-profit or for-profit organizations, training institutions such as child care resource and referral organizations, or professional organizations.

Persons may apply to be Oregon Registry Community Trainers at any time by completing the Community Trainer Application.

Trainers who are out of the field of childhood care and education (such as business or health) and who would like to offer relevant training to those in the field may qualify to be Specialty Community Trainers. Use the Specialty Community Trainer Application to apply.
