Master Trainers

Oregon Registry Master Trainers develop and offer their own independently developed intermediate and advanced level training sessions. They use the Set Two or Set Three standards in the Core Body of Knowledge to select their core knowledge categories and develop their objectives. Master trainers may also offer Set One training sessions. Master trainers may offer standardized training sessions if they are approved for the individual training curricula and have participated in the training of trainers for those specific standardized training sessions. Master trainers may offer train the trainer sessions.

Master Trainers may be independent contractors, or they may be affiliated with non-profit or for-profit organizations, training institutions such as child care resource and referral organizations, or professional organizations. They may be faculty members at colleges and universities.

Persons may apply to be Oregon Registry Master Trainers at any time, by completing the Master Trainer Application.

Trainers who are out of the field of childhood care and education (such as the legal or medical professions) and who would like to offer relevant training to those in the field may qualify to be Specialty Master Trainers. Use the Specialty Master Trainer Application to apply.
